Introduction

The Liqwid Community Incentivized Marketing Program (LCIMP) is ready to hold its first community-driven vote. This initiative empowers LQ holders to decide which pieces of community-created content will be rewarded with protocol incentives.

Over the past month, several community members have created engaging educational and promotional content around Liqwid, from X threads to YouTube shorts. These posts highlight the strength of Liqwid’s protocol, its markets, and its role in Cardano DeFi. Now, we as a community have the opportunity to recognize and reward these contributions.

Why This Matters

  • Bottom-Up Growth: LCIMP complements top-down marketing from Liqwid Labs by incentivizing authentic, grassroots content creation.

  • Community Engagement: Rewards encourage more creators to make educational and promotional content, expanding Liqwid’s reach.

  • Transparency & Meritocracy: Votes ensure incentives are distributed fairly based on community preference, not centralized discretion.

  • Protocol Visibility: Posts on X and YouTube amplify Liqwid’s presence across the Cardano ecosystem and beyond.

Incentive Framework

The incentive framework is outlined in Proposal #100: Form a Liqwid Community Incentivized Marketing Program:

  • At the end of each month an onchain vote which includes all eligible content creators for that month will be launched with the top 5 creators receiving the most votes each receiving 100 LQ.

  • 500 LQ per month will be funded from the DAO Treasury wallet as part of the initial implementation of LCIMP.

  • Evaluation Metric: Community preference, based on engagement quality, educational value, and visibility.

Security & Fairness

In order to ensure security and fairness voting will occur via a regular Liqwid DAO governance proposal.

This vote marks a milestone: the first time the Liqwid community directly rewards grassroots creators. By recognizing and incentivizing community voices, we expand Liqwid’s reach, strengthen engagement, and showcase our commitment to being the most community-driven DeFi protocol on Cardano.
