New subDAO Formation: Liqwid Community Incentivized Marketing Program (LCIMP)

Summary:
This proposal aims to create a new subDAO: Liqwid Community Incentivized Marketing Program (LCIMP). LCIMP will function to provide economic incentives to content creators in the Liqwid and Cardano DeFi ecosystem.

Reasoning:
Liqwid Labs internal marketing goals to help educate new users on Liqwid’s key benefits and v2 improvements is in its early stages. This effort aims to highlight the key value drivers Liqwid provides to lenders and borrowers while creating educational content for users on how to effectively navigate all components of the Liqwid app. In addition to this top down approach of product marketing and outreach this proposal aims to launch a decentralized marketing and outreach subDAO group focused on implementing a scalable and standardized marketing system within the Liqwid DAO ecosystem.

Up until recently our core team has focused nearly exclusively on the technical and product components of the Liqwid protocol. With the full implementation of v2 nearing completion we are in an optimal position to significantly increase Liqwid Labs internal marketing to both new and existing Cardano DeFi users.

Our Liqwid Labs core team also recognizes the strong community driven marketing and outreach from various Liqwid community members and aim to boost this by deploying a DAO run incentives program for community members who are currently creating content for free. The goal is not to acknowledge these content creators and inspire unique and diverse content creation strategies within the Liqwid DAO.

*Important to note that Liqwid Labs core team has never engaged in the practice of paying influencers or KOLs for mentioning the protocol on Twitter, YouTube, Reddit or any other platform. We believe the power of an organized community building towards a shared vision will always generate orders of magnitude better outcomes than that of paid influencers or KOLs. All content that’s been created by Liqwid community members to date was produced free of charge out of genuine interest in spreading awareness of Liqwid and Cardano DeFi.

Proposal Specifications:

  1. Launch a Community Incentivized Marketing Program (LCIMP) which allocates 500 LQ per month to the top 5 Liqwid DAO ecosystem content creators.

  2. At the end of each month an onchain vote which includes all eligible content creators for that month will be launched with the top 5 creators receiving the most votes each receiving 100 LQ.

*500 LQ per month would be funded from the DAO Treasury wallet as part of the initial implementation of LCIMP.

LCIMP Eligibility Rules:

  1. Content creators eligible for LCIMP incentives must have posted a minimum of 1 item of Liqwid content in the previous month.

  2. An item of Liqwid content are limited to: Twitter/X threads covering Liqwid, YouTube videos covering Liqwid, Medium/Substack articles and Reddit posts (in r/cardano only).

*To track eligible participants each month the Liqwid content creator should post a tweet of their content item and tag the @liqwidfinance main Twitter/X account or include $LQ. This will allow LCIMP subDAO members to easily track submissions each month in preparation for the vote.

**As a general guide: Liqwid content items should be focused on educating users on the protocol, its key benefits and how to effectively build and contribute to the Liqwid DAO.

Conclusion:
This vote will determine if a new subDAO is formed to incentivized Liqwid content creators. Liqwid Community Incentivized Marketing Program (LCIMP) will serve to reward Liqwid community members who generate content and marketing for the DAO. The core team recommends adopting this proposal.

I like the overall idea! I would suggest that at least 2 or 3 core team members volunteer each month to filter a curated list of marketing material.
Maybe I’m being too bureaucratic here, but everytime we mention “incentives” bad actors just appears out of the blue to trick the game.

Yes a core team staff would collect the total tally of eligible content creators each month.
