# Cancel Liqwid V2 Bug Bounty Launch

## Summary

This proposal seeks to cancel the planned Liqwid V2 bug bounty program introduced alongside **LIP-147** , the Liqwid V2 Business Source License proposal.

LIP-147 proposed making the Liqwid V2 smart contracts source-available under BUSL 1.1 and included a commitment to launch a self-hosted bug bounty program funded with **59,000 ADA** from the DAO treasury.

This proposal removes only the bug bounty commitment. All other provisions of LIP-147 remain unchanged - namely turning the Liqwid V2 on-chain source code public by December 2026.

## Motivation

Liqwid’s security resources are better focused on **Liqwid V3**.

Launching a separate V2 bounty would require additional treasury expenditure and operational resources for a protocol version that is expected to be superseded by V3.

V2 will still become source-available under BUSL 1.1, allowing independent researchers to review the contracts and responsibly disclose vulnerabilities without requiring a formal DAO-funded bounty program.

## Specification

If approved:

- The planned Liqwid V2 bug bounty introduced by **LIP-147** will be cancelled.

- The associated **59,000 ADA** treasury allocation will not be deployed.

- Any requirement to launch the V2 bounty within the timeframe established by LIP-147 will be removed.

- All other provisions of LIP-147 remain unchanged.

- Existing responsible-disclosure channels for V2 will remain available.
